Funny that the terror image used here happened under a Republican president. Oh wait, political irony… I get it!

Funny, it seems to me that happened on Bush’s watch. Perhaps we should show this pic, another one with Katrina, another with Chimpy McFlightsuit in front of his “Mission Accomplished” banner, along with one of gas prices and a dollar bill in the toilet. We could then entitle it “Please don’t vote for a Republican”

Can we get someone to photoshop the Constitution in flames with the caption “Please don’t vote for another Republican?”

Sad but the Democrats and Republicans are one in the same. A Facade. They make us believe we have a choice but in reality they both play for the same “owners” and it’s not the American people. We’re just consumers.

Someone please explain the connection!!! 9/11 was a GOP deal from the beginning. In fact, it’s been very profitable for them.

When I was watching the towers being attacked my first reaction was sadness at the loss of life. My second immediate reaction was that the Democrats would immediately blame the Republicans for the attack. And I was right. The fact of the matter is that the Democrats have consistently voted against defense spending (which ultimately aided the terrorists). So, the billboard is right. Sorry.

So the Democrats blamed the Republicans for the attack, and you (a Republican?) are blaming the Democrats for the attack. You sure are putting your fancy Education to good use with that impeccable line of reasoning.

If you had ever read about the USA funding the Tali-Ban and Usama as a part of the Cold War in Afghanistan, you might understand the term “blowback” as used and defined by the CIA. Politics and Physics share the principle of action = opposite reaction.

So, who won during the Cold War in Afghanistan? The Soviets? Nope. The fact is that most Democratic policy is isolationist. “Ignore it and it will go away.” Republican strategy has been to stabilize the Middle East and in order to do so the US has to have a presence or “foothold” in the Middle East. Sure, oil is involved, but you are avoiding the “big Picture”. You are thinking microcosmically and domestically, not macrocosmically and internationally. I have a BA in History and a BA in Philosophy. And I have some law school experience. I may not be a genius, but History is a good teacher of the fact that isolationist and appeasement strategies don’t work.

So are you the poster named “Educated”?

1st – please don’t presume to understand how I think.
I never said that I support generic “Democrat” policy, especially the way you happen to understand it. I sure hope you don’t think exactly as how I understand generic “Republican” foreign policy, and I will not assume so.

I’m pretty sure the USA had ignored Afghanistan until about Oct 2001. The USA policy in Iraq has not created stability in the region or a position of influence or “foothold.” It has lead to a severely weakened military prowess and the lose of gains made in Afghanistan.

This isn’t really the place to discuss the “Mid-East Strateegerry” of the Bush Presidency. But if you wish to believe military incursion is the road to American Hegemony, please re-read the history of other empires.
PS: or maybe just read Sun Tsu’s Art of War
