Have you noticed how the GOP has stopped complaining about ACORN since the owner of a company hired by the GOP to do voter registration was arrested for registration fraud? The same company has been “slamming” — a term that was invented to describe phone companies switching long distance carriers without the permission of customers, but in this case they were changing voter registration to Republican without their permission. In some cases, voters were even switched to absentee status, which would cause them to lose their vote if they tried to show up on election day and vote normally.
But that hasn’t stopped some people from making fools of themselves:
