How the Cookie Crumbles

The Girl Scouts allow homosexuals and atheists to join their ranks, and they have become a pro-abortion, feminist training corps. If the Girl Scouts of America can’t get back to teaching real character, perhaps it will be time to look for our cookies elsewhere.

Hans Zeiger, Republican candidate for Washington State Representative, who recently pulled a whole bunch of blog posts he has made in the past from the internet. But the internet never forgets.

Well, I guess you have to have some passion about something to run for office. What are we becoming?

Girls Scouts allows atheists and is pro-abortion? Awesome! Now I might consider it for my 7 yr old. Oh no, wait…the local chapter is run by a right-wing religious nut who sends around anti-Obama emails, the most outrageous ones you can find.

The comments on the article have it right, just another right winger who shows his extreme side to win the Primary, moves to the middle to get elected, and then moves to the far right once in office.

I don’t know much about the girl scouts, but have been an asst scoutmaster for my 2 sons troops and helped with cub scouts for a number of years and they’ve never been very political. I hope the politicians just stay away. Both organizations teach tolerance, community, selfless service, and self reliance. They both foster and do alot of good work.

I wish the Pres had stopped by this summer at their national jamboree in VA. to offer the kids encouragement to keep up the good work (46K kids and 20-30k adults- same size as Becks rally). He had to go on the View and get hammered for it instead. Kids aren’t political, they would have remembered the Presidens visit for a lifetime. Daytime TV viewers have already forgotton Obama’s appearance there.

An interesting explanation of one anti-abortion group’s take on the Girl Scouts. I’m guessing the gentleman from Washington has received similar information from someplace. I’m guessing he did no investigating on his own.

@PatriotSgt: I’m with you, man, on all counts.

If his views have changed that much, he shouldn’t hide his old views. He should be completely upfront. Just saying that at the ripe old age of 25, my views have changed is lame.

If he wants a second chance, he should post something along the lines of: “In the past had said that the Girl Scouts don’t teach character because they allow atheists and homosexuals to join. I now realize that I was wrong and naive and I **fully support equal rights for everyone, including homosexuals and atheists.**”
