Transcript of Romney’s remarks:

This is so much fun. It’s so much fun running for president, I gotta tell ya. It is fun being here with you. This is kind of historic, you know that? To all be together on a, on a morning like this and uh, to be in the bright sunshine in a beautiful place and to be running for president with your help, we’re doin’ this together! This is not about me. This is not about me. You’re not here because I’m some spectacular speaker, y’all know better than that. Yer. You’re, you’re not here just because the Republican Party is the answer to all things, you know better than that. You know instead this is America. And Amer, America is the answer to all good things, and we are caring about our country. We wanna get it on track again, to care for ourselves and for the people of the world that love liberty!

Chicken and uh, you know, noodles, it’s vuh, there’s good, good German food right here.

This sounds so much like a typical Sarah Palin word salad … with less actual content. At least Palin believed in something, kinda sorta … ya no.

As much as I detest what Romney stands for, this kind of stuff is just cheap shots. Extemporaneous speaking is not easy and nobody gets it right every time, much less makes any sense from a transcript or recording after the fact. Obama speaks from a prompter much of the time in order to avoid the gaffes, but it’s not a perfect approach and of course it’s not a tool that’s always available. I do a lot of speaking for a living and am astounded whenever I hear a recording or see a video of my talks and think to myself “oh my, you sound like an idiot” but at the time it works just fine for the people who are actually there.
Someone like Palin does it almost ALL the time, as did GWB. That’s arrogance and a demonstration of not trying. That’s different. Romney generally is not that bad, not by any comparison with those two.

All that said, there’s not a chance I’m voting for the Plutocrat.

DaddyO, I filed this in humor, because I thought it was funny. I’ve done similar posts on Obama in the past.
