As Jon Stewart hilariously points out, the same Republican masterminds who fostered and encouraged the Tea Party to take control of the Republican party are now complaining about the monster they created.
So, how short is our attention span? Unfortunately, their strategy might just work.

From what I hear, the story is that the “real” (yes, “real!”) Tea Party was co-opted by the Republicans:-)
The “real” Tea Party is Ron/Rand Paul — not that THAT is much of a recommendation!
The means by which this Daily Show clip is embedded differs from other DS clips you post in that it plays automatically. If I open the politicalirony.com home page or just refresh it, I must then hunt for this clip to stop the playback. I haven’t looked at the underlying code, but whatever method you use for the *other* DS clips is preferable!
Overall, this is a most delightful site!
