All the Pieces of the Puzzle

Every day or so, we get another piece of information that connects the Trump administration to Russia. The newest revelation is that Trump, immediately upon taking office, tried to do a huge favor for the Russians:

Top Trump administration officials, almost as soon as they took office, tasked State Department staffers with developing proposals for the lifting of economic sanctions, the return of diplomatic compounds and other steps to relieve tensions with Moscow.

These efforts to relax or remove punitive measures imposed by President Obama in retaliation for Russia’s intervention in Ukraine and meddling in the 2016 election alarmed some State Department officials.

Electoral Vote puts the pieces of the puzzle together. We now have strong evidence for the following:

  1. There were extensive, and often secret, contacts among the Trump campaign and the Russians;
  2. The Russians interfered with the election to the benefit of Trump;
  3. Trump endeavored to kill the sanctions on Russia; and
  4. Trump endeavored to kill the investigation into all of this.

Does anyone still think this is a “witch hunt”?

    It’s not much of a hunt when you know who the witches are.

    Squeaky Wheel — wonderful comment!

    When I first heard this news, I realized why Trump became President with none of the normal transition-period work done. Instead of doing the usual — choosing and vetting Cabinet members, e.g. — the Trump transition team was working on the Russian agenda.

    Well maybe Steve King does, to name one. He was on a talk show this morning saying there was no evidence, at this point, of anything to do with, well anything. I think it would take a proclamation from Putin and several other high ranking Russians to convince them. Putin saying, (in a Russian accent of course), “We interfered with US elections, we have been controlling Trump since before he announced he was running, we actively attempted to turn the American people against Clinton, we are in collusion with not only Trump, but most of his family members, we have in our employee, several high ranking people who are advising Trump and we do not intend to stop.” There is a slight chance that might turn some Red Heads. But then again, they seem to live their lives with their heads up their asses, so who knows.

    Actually, if you consider that the Russian agenda is to destroy our democracy, then it would not surprise me if they actually announce that they control Trump and threw our election. And that it was easy.

    Then sit back and watch the fireworks!

    IK, that would be so cool. Well except for the fact that we would probably bomb Russia and start WWW III.
