Last week, the Presidential Committee on the Arts and the Humanities disbanded themselves in protest of Donald Trump, but they did something interesting in their letter of resignation. The first letter of each paragraph spelled out R-E-S-I-S-T.

Not to be outdone, this week the State Department science envoy resigned, and the first letters of his resignation letter spelled out I-M-P-E-A-C-H.

Yeah, saw that latter one. Clever digs, but somehow I think that level of sarcasm is wasted and way over the Total Twit in Chief’s head. The guy can barely get through a single paragraph before his next distraction, usually ending in another cheap shot at the latest perceived transgression of his fragile ego.

Just when you start to think it can’t get any worse, the next day seems to bring a new low. And still, his base holds firm, if you can believe half the polls out there.

On occasion lately, I find myself tuning out for the day, it just gets too depressing to watch him suck all the oxygen out of every space he inhabits. The man is a textbook case of pathological narcissism.

As one pundit put it the other day, the guy is like a bull who carries his own china shop around whereever he goes.

I get tired of it all as well and at the same time, got up this morning to find that almost all coverage is the hurricane. That worries me because what is the Liar in Chief up to? I don’t think we should take our eyes off the disaster in the White House. He is a much bigger threat than a hurricane.
