Immunity?

Today, Donald Trump sent out a campaign fundraising email that claims that during a 2022 search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, that President Biden was “locked & loaded ready to take me out”. He also sent out a tweet.

Obviously, this is a complete and utter lie. The FBI purposely picked a day for the raid when Trump would not be there, to avoid a confrontation. They were just looking for illegally held classified documents, which they indeed found (even though Trump claimed he didn’t have any).

But what makes this ironic is that Trump and his lawyers have repeatedly claimed that as president, Trump had absolute immunity. Even to murder someone. Wouldn’t that mean that President Biden would have the same rights and powers?

Be careful what you ask for!

tRump knows little of history, but yet he styles himself after peru’s authoritarian fascist 1930’s president Oscar Benavides that said “For my friends, everything; For my enemies, the law.”
However, Benavides ultimatley was sentenced to 25 years.

“Be careful what you ask for” should be the theme song for the Republican Party for the next three or four election cycles.

Same warrant and boilerplate terms and conditions served for the Biden home inspection, like any others. Trump and fam reportedly weren’t even there at the time anyway.

It’s profoundly discouraging to see the pathetic right wingding media circus spin this one up and then pretend shortly after that it never happened (or was “misinterpreted”) and gradually bury it with other distractions. Rinse and repeat. Because there’s always the next distraction right around the corner, real, imagined or inspired that’s bound to be just riveting!

But that Biden “Icebox” and his rigged court system, eh?
