Will Trump Flee?

Politico has a very interesting opinion article by a retired general who believes that if Donald Trump loses the election, there is a very good chance he will flee the US to avoid humiliation and likely prosecution. Heck, as he often does, Trump himself has actually floated the idea. Here’s a teaser from the article: […]

Scary Hallowe’en!

I have to hand it to Donald Trump. He is working very hard to make Hallowe’en as scary as possible.

MAGA?

Alternative facts? How about Alternative Acronyms? In a week, I hope we can change the “Make” to “Made”.

Have a Safe Hallowe’en

How can you have a safe Hallowe’en? I’m not sure. I have decorated my house, but I’m not planning on having any trick-or-treaters as my county is strongly discouraging it. Covid-19 cases are spiking now, and having a bunch of snotty-faced kids running around in the cold night would definitely make it worse!

Show the Fuck Up

Jim Wright (of Stonekettle Station) published this on Twitter today: Physical therapy this morning, 30 minutes into a treadmill that’s kicking my ass, doctor comes in: “I see you’re a political writer. What do you think is going to happen when Trump wins? You think there’s going to be violence from these far-left liberals?” Blood […]

Eject!

I’m always amazed at how much attention the rest of the world gives to US politics, especially considering how little attention Americans pay to the rest of the world. Here’s a comic from a Portuguese artist. I especially like how a mask is being used to eject Donald Trump. If the pandemic is the reason […]

SNL hits the nail on the head

This is absolutely brilliant. For better or (likely) for worse, even if Trump isn’t president anymore, he isn’t going to go gently into the night. Trump can still bark even if he can’t bite, and wouldn’t that be so much better for our country? Just to add an additional chuckle (assuming you have watched the […]

Trump’s Covid-19

I don’t normally post things sent to me, but this illustrated timeline of Trump’s lies about the coronavirus by Noreen Graf is definitely worth sharing.

Resurge

Thursday, the same day as the final presidential debate, the US set a new all-time record for the most number of new Covid-19 cases in a single day. The benchmark was hit as the pandemic has accelerated at a pace not seen since the summer and as many local governments have reimposed restrictions to stop […]

Your Vote!

Back in April, I posted “Vote Him Away (The Liar Tweets Tonight)” by Roy Zimmerman. Here’s a new song from him, performed virtually with some friends: Remember to vote, the sooner the better.

Borat Strikes Again!

Just when you think that this election can’t get any more insane, Sacha Baron Cohen releases a new movie, “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm“. In it is a scene where Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani has an “indiscreet encounter” in a hotel room with a young actress playing Borat’s daughter. In the film, released on Friday, […]

Losing

You know you are in trouble when even your own lawyers don’t like you. Lawyers at Jones Day, which has earned millions as outside counsel to President Trump’s re-election campaign, have donated nearly $90,000 to the campaign committee of Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden. Contributions to the Trump campaign by Jones Day lawyers totaled just […]

Two Weeks!

The election happens in two weeks. Maybe, if we are lucky, we will know the results within two weeks after that. Republicans are starting to flee Trumpism, sensing that their leader has become a loser. Some of them, like John Cornyn, are shooting themselves in the foot doing it. I, for one, am looking forward […]
