If you live in one of the states that has a primary today, please vote. I don’t even care for whom you vote. People complain about the special interests in politics, but the main reason those special interests can get away with it is because most people don’t vote.
Ignore the AP calling the primary for Clinton. Their prediction is based entirely on superdelegates, while the pledged delegates are far more important.
Vote for Clinton or vote for Sanders. Vote for whomever you want. The only wasted vote is one you don’t cast. I don’t even care if you vote for Trump, since all of his opponents have dropped out.
Just vote. If you don’t vote, you don’t get to complain.

Don’t forget the down ballot candidates. Don’t forget the local government. Don’t forget the local government can put ALL the taxpayers on the hook for a long time.
It is perfectly legal for a local government with taxing authority to sign a contract promising millions of dollars to some company for centuries to come. The taxpayers are liable.
Read about how the City of Chicago sold all the revenue from all the parking spaces for the next century for a penny on the dollar ostensibly to “balance” the budget in one year. The contract prohibits the city from improving and enhancing parking, prohibits new parking garages from coming up, the city has to pay for “lost” revenue due to political events and rallies. That is just the tip of the iceberg.
Cities and the State issuing bonds, borrowing money and giving it to private companies is less evil than getting into such onerous contracts. Selling property tax revenue is not far off.
Good point, Ravilyn. In many respects, local races are even more important now. For example, there is the issue of contaminated water supplies across the nation because of deregulation and corruption.
In addition, one of the main reasons why the Democrats lost control of Congress is because Republicans were able to take over state governments. There are 23 states where the GOP controls the legislature (both representatives and state senators) and the governor’s office. The Democrats only control 7 states. After the last census the GOP states were able to gerrymander enough to elect Republicans to Congress even though a majority voted Democratic.

Redjon, you sound like me. Son in law is conservative and over the years spouted off, but turns out he does not vote. I told my husband to never question that because he might start. Same with my brother. He votes a straight Libertarian ticket and I just agree with most of what he says.
