It’s the cure for awakeness she mentions at the end that interests me the most.
I’m using it to start a discussion (fight) on Facebook. I could use some sleep right about now too. 18+ hour days kill me.
Brilliant.
A while ago I posted something from the Onion, and several people left comments indicating that they thought it was real! Since then, I’ve usually included satire warnings for them, but this one seemed so completely over the top I figured I could let it stand on its own. Even so, it has that oh-so-sinister edge of truth to it. I love it.
Ha Ha, now thats entertainment. Where do they dream this stuff up I don’t have that much creativity.
This is an incompletely-updated copy of an Onion item from 2008. Which is really quite appropriate… 🙂
It’s not real? Looked like real news. They had all the little boxes and stuff that clutter up the screen and real newsreel-like footage. It isn’t real? Wow. I gotta quit driving I-5 and start seeing the real world for what it is. (By the way, I found a road more boring than I-5 in the southern San Joaquin valley – drive the old West Side oad that runs from Coalinga to Maricopa. Boring, except for the oil well farms on the Naval Petroleum Reserve. Packed cheek to jowl. Now that was real.)
