Perhaps you should qualify your statement to something like:
“Americas fear of Ebola is more of a psychological plague than a medical one.”
or
“Americas fear of Ebola is more of a media and Republican plague than a medical one.”
Even these changes leave me cringing just a little bit because at this point, and I believe for the future as well, Ebola is a human tragedy not an American farce.
