Gender?

This comic highlights the thing that has always made me laugh about the whole bathroom bill controversy — just how in the hell would you determine the sex that someone was assigned at birth? There is just no practical way. So the claim that these laws protect children in bathrooms from harassment by deviants and monsters is complete bullshit. It won’t protect anyone from anything.

It’s just all so ridiculous, just as most of the “red button” issues on the right are. I don’t care who is in the stall next to me, unless they are unusually odoriferous. Get rid of urinals, unless they are in stalls with doors, and in new buildings or during renovation, require individual rooms like most smaller offices and restaurants have anyway. I can’t remember how many times I’ve used a men’s room in the past. I guess those days are over or I’m liable to get attacked. I’m just hoping that the dumbing down of this country has now hit bottom. Frankly I doubt it, but one can hope.

Maybe we should just build more of the original transgender bathrooms – public swimming pools!

Ralph, I cracked up just remembering that classic scene, but watching it again (with the older couple reacting the same way conservatives are now reacting to the idea of transgendered people in bathrooms) just killed me. Bravo!

I swear, there must be conservative “think tanks” that just sit around and come up with with crazy shit like this, just to see if anyone falls for it. Must make them feel powerful.

IK they don’t need think tanks. They just jump on anything that the left backs. If the left had come out in favor of the so-called bathroom laws, then the right would have decried those same laws.
