Hitchhiking

One of my regular readers sent this comic. I just think it is cute.

A study done by Facebook has found “significant overlap between communities that are skeptical of vaccines and those affiliated with QAnon”. How many of you secretly hope that after the rest of us get vaccinated, then QAnon believers, along with the remaining uber-Trump-heads and maskholes, all get Covid-19 and suffer from their stupidity?

If they do get it and suffer, they’ll just say it’s fake news. Trump said so.

A NURSE my wife works with went to a Trump rally with seven adult members of her family, none wore masks, 7 were hospitalized, the nurse missed work.

I wouldn’t mind a bit if they all got Covid. Just hope they don’t breed more dangerous variants.

When they do get covid, don’t let hem overwhelm the hospitals. Just stay home in denial.

The problem is that desire for revenge ends up creating more distress for our medical community which is already overstressed. I wish that these deniers were penalized in some way, that they would not receive medical care or stimulus checks or something like that…. But, the reality is that I think we are all accountable in that we have not done enough to reach out and help people figure out their way out of hate. At least, I know I haven’t done enough.

When you look at these people, most of them are coming out of a place of fear. Some are just downright hateful and spiteful, but I think most are confused and vulnerable and that if we all stood taller and extended a hand, we might find a crumbling of their ideology. At least, I hope so.
