Since his mother Elisabeth lived in their house, and insisted the children speak German at the dinner table, my guess is Fred Trump spoke English with a German accent. We could ask his Grandaughter Mary.
Of course if you want to get on his son’s wrong side, you dance “The mashed potatos” at his rallies and sing the son. His brother Freddie got so tired of Donnie being a brat, he dumped the bowl of mashed potatoes on his head.
