I Scream!

This image has been running around the innertubes ever since the election, equally popular on both liberal and conservative websites:

I especially love the description, but I don’t know if they spelled “marshmallow” wrong on purpose. After all, I wouldn’t describe Trump as “mellow”.

In case there is any doubt, Snopes says that it is not a real flavor. Sorry if you wanted to buy some!

However, an ice cream shop in Philadelphia has what might be the next best thing — the ImPeach Sundae:

They describe it as “peach ice cream smothered in nuts from the cabinet, with a side of our orange colored Tomato Ice Cream topped with Cheetos”. And they serve it with a small demitasse spoon on request, “to make any hands look huge”.

The same shop also added a traditional Persian ice cream to their menu, a saffron and rose custard with roasted pistachios. Proceeds from that flavor go to an organization that helps settle immigrants and refugees.

B&J is missing an opportunity here. But maybe not, I’m having trouble with the peach and mint combo. Saffron and rose doesn’t sound a whole lot better, but that one I would be willing to try. Someone needs to come up with a fundraising flavor for both the Bowling Green victims, (perhaps this is a place for mint green ice cream with little malted milk balls representing the bowling part), and for the Swedish victims, dill ice cream sounds very inventive, just like the event itself.

Years ago I lived next to a small ice cream parlor (named Udder Delight) that made their own kinds of ice cream. We would invent all sorts of new flavors, including avocado and lotus. The most popular one I helped invent was piña colada (pineapple and coconut ice cream). Tomato ice cream sounds interesting.

Well what’s not to like about piña colada ice cream. It’s 70 some degrees here in Tropical St. Louis so any kind of ice cream sounds good about now.
