In politics, anything can happen. Except what Clinton needs to happen.

In politics, anything can happen. Except what Clinton needs to happen.
First, Arianna Huffington (in an interesting article about how McCain has dramatically changed) claimed that McCain told her at a LA dinner party that he did not vote for George W. Bush in the 2000 election.

Next, McCain denied that report, and claimed that he did indeed vote for Bush.

And now, two independent sources who were at the same dinner party as Huffington claim that McCain did indeed say that he did not back Bush in 2000.

Interestingly, McCain has never denied that he ever said those things at that dinner party 8 years ago. So, was he lying then to cozy up to celebrities at a dinner party or is he lying now?
Here’s a great blog post that is both humorous and ironic:

(Be sure to read to the very end. This one had me totally sucked in.)
Yesterday, Slate Magazine invited readers to imagine what would have to happen for Barack Obama to lose the Democratic nomination.
My favorite was actually their third place winner: Hillary appeals to the Supreme Court, which, based upon a 2000 ruling, decides that the candidate with fewer votes wins the election. —John Kirkbride
“Hillary Clinton says she isn’t dropping out because there are still six states that haven’t had their Democratic primary. That’s right. Barack Obama is favored in the states of Oregon, Montana and South Dakota, and Hillary is favored in the state of denial.” –Conan O’Brien
“Hillary needed to win decisively in both states tonight, she didn’t do that, which means her chances to win the nomination are very slim. But will she quit? Oh, not a chance. She will stay in the race for as long as it takes to elect John McCain president.” –Jimmy Kimmel
