While he was in Israel, Mitt Romney praised their healthcare system for keeping people healthy while keeping costs low.
How does Israel do it? Through aggressive regulation of the entire health care system (not just health insurance), requiring all residents to have health insurance (the dreaded individual mandate that Romney says he opposes at the federal level), and with revenue caps for hospitals and doctors. Not only that, but all health insurance plans are non-profit, and are required to insure anyone regardless of pre-existing conditions.
In other words, Israel’s health care solution goes way beyond Obamacare, while being based on some of the same ideas. And yet Romney says he wants to repeal Obamacare on day one. But he hasn’t offered anything as a replacement.

In an effort to show solidarity and allegiance with Israel, Romney shoots himself in the foot? Big surprise. It’s been clear for a while that Romney does not operate with facts, figures, or reality all that often. Unfortunately, neither does his constituency, so they don’t really notice.
I find it very funny that Romney’s Foreign Policy Advisor has claimed that Romney’s trip was a great success, and that the presidential hopeful has done remarkably well for himself. Likewise, FOX News has deified Romney’s trip, and claimed that all the negative coverage is because MSM outlets sent political journalists rather than foreign policy journalists to cover the trip.
Faux news is just pure propaganda. all the Republican propaganda sits are touting the “tremendous success” of Romney’s trip, because that’s what propaganda is all about. Never mind the angry Brits, the angry Palestinians, and all the actual mistakes.
Romney and the Republicans will LITERALLY say anything to get elected. And that in and of itself is a reason to oppose them.
ROTFLMAO! Fox News actually claimed that the negative coverage is from the MSM? What about their negative coverage? What about The Sun calling him “Mitt the Twit”? Remember, The Sun is owned by Murdoch, same as Fox News. Does anyone have a link for Fox saying that?
I got it in this opinion piece written by Richard Grenell and posted to Fox.

Fox also has a synopsis of an interview with Romney, in which he says pretty much the same thing.
