    There are up-sides and down-sides to living in California, although some are cyclic. For instance, we aren’t bombarded by the tsunami of political ads every four years because we’re not a swing state. I don’t watch mainstream tv for the most part, but, so far (and cross my fingers hoping this lasts) I’ve only seen one presidential ad on the tele. Just one. A short little number for Obama.

    Now, I know that’s gloating, but I truly mean no offense to those who are being subjected to the aforementioned tsunami. My glee at not seeing ads does end when I consider the suffering of so many Americans in the swing state world. I am sorry for your pain.
