Maybe Move Server?

I’ve been wanting to move Political Irony to a new server for a while, and I might do it in the next few days. If I do, Political Irony will go down for a day or two while I move everything over. After that, it should run much better.

I can’t believe that I’ve been running this blog for seven years!

UPDATE: The plan is to do the update this weekend. I’ll keep posting until I start the move. You will have to log back in once it comes back up at the new location.

Thank you SO MUCH for what you do with this site. This and the John Oliver show are my main sources for political news–I don’t want anymore than that! 🙂 You do such a great job. I am with CYN!

Thanks so much for keeping this site going! It has been a daily habit of mine for years now and I would be sad to see it go. Best of luck with the server migration!

    Happy New Year!

This is one of the few sites I send friends to. After the “retirement” scare earlier this year, I feel like every day of continued PI is a treasure. Migrate away!

    Oh, and Happy New Year!

Actually, the “retirement scare” was because I’ve been having major problems with my current server, and didn’t have the time back then to do all the work to switch things to a new server. Luckily, the current server sputtered back to life, but it has always been slow. I have a few days free time right now, so I’m going to do the switch. Assuming everything goes well, having a new server will make the site run faster, with less downtime, and will make my life easier so I can keep posting for another 7 years!

Happy New Year and good luck with the move. I’m echoing other comments when I say that this my “go to” site for level headed commentary and thoughtful discussions. Long live Political Irony.
