Turnabout

Turnabout

What are the chances that some pious presidential candidates would promise to protect this person’s religious freedom?

UPDATE: Here’s an even better (and real) example. Have any presidential candidates expressed outrage that a Muslim flight attendant was suspended without pay from her job because she refused to serve alcohol in accordance with her Islamic faith? This case is more compelling because (unlike Kim Davis) the flight attendant was more than willing to let other flight attendants serve alcohol. Before you react, read the article to get the full story.

FYI (I know that is not your contention), there is nothing in Islam to prohibit woman from driving. The only country that does not give woman license is Saudi Arabia, and even in their laws there is no such thing as women should not be given license.

And the laws in Saudi Arabia are changing to allow women to drive.

But the cartoon is a joke. (if the show was on the other foot) In our area, crosses were burned at a Mosque. People are so ignorant of the Muslim Religion. In 1960, we were Required in our Religious school to take “comparative Religion” I’m very glad with the bigots of today I learned about the other Religions, plus I learned a lot of my tennis partners and opponents.
I was reading last night about AISAM-UL-HAQ QURESHI (Pakistan) who used to have a doubles partner from Israel and who was Hebrew. While they were friends, they got awards for crossing the divide so to speak. Qureshi is still in the US OPen tennis doubles

Hassan, yes, that’s why I filed this under Humor. But it is probably good that you pointed this out, lest someone think it was true. The example I used in my previous post was more accurate (marriage between a believer and a non-believer).

However, I think that is part of the joke. Christ never said anything at all about homosexuality, and yet you have these self-proclaimed religious experts who insist that their Christian beliefs prohibit them from serving gay people. Even if you could claim that gay marriage is a sin, it still wouldn’t follow that a Christian shouldn’t serve them. After all the Bible forbids eating seafood that doesn’t have fins and scales (Leviticus 11:9-12; Deuteronomy 14:9, 10), and yet you don’t see Christian waiters and cooks refusing to serve shellfish in restaurants. Can you imagine what would happen if a Christian doctor refused to deliver a baby that was conceived out of wedlock? Jesus said “let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone”. Kim Davis certainly cannot claim to have never sinned.

I’m all for Muslim women behind the wheel, unless they have to wear that super duper burka with the screen mesh over their eyes. Because, you know, those alluring sexy eyes in my rear view mirror, praise be!

Hey, give holy roller Kim Davis a break, Huckster-be has a point. She’s only practicing her fervent belief in the biblical mandate of holy matrimony between one man and his one or more women. She’s so fervent she’s practiced it four (count em, 4!) times now. Move over Donald Trump!

The power of The Invisible Man in the Sky to scramble the alleged rational mind he intelligently created from scratch is truly awesome to behold. I just hope for my sake he can also take a little joke too.

Sorry, a little too much coffee this morning… switching over to decaf now.
